Calvin Klein Sex Ads

It seems the message Calvin Klein creates from past ads, has never changed and that is sexy. Sex is something that sells and an aspect that Klein does well. They ensure their brand will make you feel sexy inside and out.
"Advertisements are so pervasive, in fact, that we often give little thought to how they influence our perceptions of gender and sex." (Jhally 2000
The ad below was actually banned in Australia for suggestive rape. However, it seems the advert is portraying a form of desire, it is obvious that the model wants those men around her. BUT regardless, this is not real life, they are simply modelling the jeans, suggesting that if you buy these jeans theres not doubt you will feel desirable and sexual.

Since the very beginning, Calvin Klein has been the forefront of sex in advertising. This is the way he sells, Klein will always be known as this and the style of adverts he creates are simply iconic. As well as the ads being sexual, it seems his products and the way they are presented are elegant yet are sold in such a sexual controversial way.

An advert below, by calvin klein. The words spoken in the ad are very suggestive - Some may feel it was too open and very distasteful. Look at it how you will, the ads are suppose to get the consumers attention and will get the advert spoken about more, resulting in more publicity and equalling into more products being sold.
